The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has recommended auctioning radio frequencies for 3G (third-generation) telecom services at a reserve price of Rs. 1,050 crore to companies seeking to offer nationwide high-speed Internet and streaming video, receiving flak from the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) which has accused it of favoring CDMA mobile operators and has also criticized the high base price of frequency.
