6. Air Wars: India slugs out with Russia, Malaysia over airspace control
In a move that could have disrupted direct flight routes between India-Russia and India-Malaysia, Russia has decided to ban Indian air carriers Air-India and Jet Airways from the Russian airspace while Malaysia has remarked that Air-India Express and Air Sahara would not be allowed to land in Kuala Lumpur, prompting a counter with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) warning that India would assume retaliatory measures.
