Double bonanza for gamers Dell launches XPS 730 H2C desktop and XPS M1730 notebook in India
Playing to the gallery of ever expanding number of gamers in India, Dell has announced the launch of high-end gaming dedicated XPS 730 H2C desktop and XPS M1730 notebook in the Indian market.
"We are delighted to bring in our premium XPS gaming machines to India. With the XPS gaming systems, we have been progressively delivering an awe-inspiring experience to gamers across and world and now, we have set the bar for the same in India as well," said Girish Mehta, Dell India's Director of Consumer Marketing.
A premier gaming desktop, the XPS 730 H2C edition has been introduced to offer gamers with high-end features. It offers optional quad-core processors, quad Graphics Processing Units (GPU) for graphics solutions and up to four hard drives with RAID arrays compliant for outstanding gaming experience.
The machine comes equipped with the NVIDIA nforce 790i Ultra SLI chipset with Intel's standard ATX motherboard processors, one of the industry's most over-clockable platforms for Intel processors, the ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 in four-way CrossFireX or NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT with SLI technology giving an unbeatable gaming experience.
The H2C cooling solution has been well received as it is an important integration that cools down the computer after prolonged gaming sessions. The enhanced two-stage ceramic cooling solution has been redesigned to fit an ATX motherboard. In order to counteract the hottest core temperature, the company has added all possible accessories like cold plate Central Processing Unit (CPU) for four processors, an additional cold plate to cool the chipset, dynamic speed control to the pump and fans that also reduce audible noise and a separate fan to provide assured cooling to the CPU's voltage regulator components.
The XPS 730 H2C desktop also offers a 1 kilowatt 80PLUS power supply together with clean cable management for easy component upgrades. Support for the new Enthusiast System Architecture (ESA), enabling real-time and complete PC performance management, while delivering new control and monitoring features for thermal, electric and acoustic characteristics are great additions.
Crafted from premium materials such as 2.4mm anodized aluminum, the XPS 730 H2C is priced at Rs. 1,39,900 onwards and is being retailed in Indian stores.
Dell's other offering to the gamers, the XPS M1730 notebook nicknamed 'the beast', is the world's first notebook to incorporate AGEIA PhysX mobile technology and Logitech's GamePanel LCD. While PhysX helps deliver realistic movement and environmental interaction at incredible speeds without affecting overall performance, GamePanel LCD allows gamers to view game statistics, create new macros, and track important system information without having to leave the game. For further high performance, the notebook is equipped with NVIDIA SLI technology with support for DirectX 10 graphics.
Besides that, the notebook is equipped with a 17-inch UltraSharp widescreen (1920×1200) display with TrueLife technology for wide viewing angle, with a 2Megapixel built-in webcam with dual digital array microphones and ExpressCard Consumer Infrared (IR) Travel Remote Control.
The basic model of XPS M1730 is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 processor (2.2GHz), while there are options of upgrading to more powerful processors such as Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 (2.5 GHz), Intel Core 2 Duo T9500 (2.6 GHz) or Intel Extreme Edition Core 2 Duo X9000 processor (2.8GHz) with support for overclocking upto 3.2GHz.
