KEC Intl bags Rs.155 crore order from Power Grid Corp

Power equipment major KEC International said it has bagged two orders from Power Grid Corporation of India worth Rs.155.24 crore ($38.80 million) for construction related projects.
In a regulatory filing, the company said the projects include supply and construction of 400 KV Double Circuit (QUAD) Edamon-Muvattupuzha transmission lines in Kerala. The total length of both the lines is 150 kms and the project is to be completed by March 2010, it said.
The projects are related to the Grid Strengthening Scheme for Kerala I & II of Powergrid Network, the company added.
