Wall Street Journal. Dow Jones & Co Inc said on Friday that Wall Street Journal publisher Gordon Crovitz would resign once the company's deal to be purchased by News Corp was completed.

Crovitz, who is also executive vice president of Dow Jones and president of its Consumer Media Group, will write a column for the Wall Street Journal after his resignation from his current jobs.

Joseph Stern, executive vice president, general counsel and a board member, will also be leaving once the News Corp buyout is completed.

No replacement for Crovitz was named; however the Wall Street Journal previously reported that Times of London editor Robert Thomson would be taking over the job.

Dow Jones Chief Executive Richard Zannino announced his resignation on Thursday.
